Data Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience to transform data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver data-driven solutions. The Data Analyst will play a key role in helping our organization improve operations, optimize strategies, and identify growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to visualize data effectively.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across departments, including marketing, finance, and operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Conduct data validation to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve processes, increase efficiency, and achieve business goals.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes using ETL tools and scripting languages.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and maintain data security protocols.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, querying, and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools for data integration and transformation.
- Understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience working with big data technologies (Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of machine learning models and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with data governance and data privacy regulations.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Certification.
