Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience to transform data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver data-driven solutions. The Data Analyst will play a key role in helping our organization improve operations, optimize strategies, and identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to visualize data effectively.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across departments, including marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Conduct data validation to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve processes, increase efficiency, and achieve business goals.
  • Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes using ETL tools and scripting languages.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and maintain data security protocols.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, querying, and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools for data integration and transformation.
  • Understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience working with big data technologies (Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data privacy regulations.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Certification.
